Remo 14 x 2.5 Inch Frame Drum FIBERSKYN Head HD 8514 00. The Remo Fiberskyn® 3 head is pre-tuned on a 0.25 inch thick ACOUSTICON shell which will provide years of carefree play. This 14 inch diameter hand drum is sturdy and durable; the perfect travel companion, for outdoors and inside. You can create a sound that will hold its own in any drum circle; great for playing with your hand. There is a thumb notch for comfort. While cross bracing is not necessary, there are pre-drilled holes if you want to add your own. The over-all size is 14 inch diameter by 2.5 inches tall.

Having fun with my frame drum!
I'm really enjoying my new frame drum. I find it a little hard to hold upright, but the lap playing position works great for me. I like the mellow tone of the doum stroke on this drum, and was pleased I had a deeper-sounding drum to help "hold down the bottom" at a recent drum circle event. I'm not so good at drumming yet, but the Remo is a friendly drum for a newbie and I like it a lot.
