Zeynel Abidin Cumbus Turkish Doumbek Head 20cm TDH20

The good news is that after searching for a COUPLE YEARS, there is finally a 20cm rep. head being made to fit my Istanbul Mehmet darbuka (much like a doumbek)...not much finnigling needed as its actually the right size. I play lots of tailgate parties outside with beverages flowing and getting spilled, sometimes on the drum, so I'm completely OK w/synthetic. Its already been baptized a few times and beaten until the name print is smeared/missing. We'll see how long it lasts, hopefully a good while. There were some minor manufacturing anomalies near the outside metal rim which, once installed, resulted in some small plastic bubbles at the edge of the drum in one spot, but nothing to keep me from playing it, and it doesn't seem to disturb the overall sound quality at this point...
